Artist Statement

I create work that lives in the tension between opposites—beautiful and raw, light and dark, small and monumental. Using sculpture, photography, and motion, I transform discarded and overlooked materials into visual statements. These pieces often exist for only a moment, documented through the camera before being dismantled, emphasizing impermanence and presence.

My work is rooted in contradiction because everything is its opposite. I’m drawn to visual contrasts: synthetic versus organic, disposable versus sacred, absurd versus meaningful. In this space of in-betweenness, I find unexpected beauty and emotional resonance. Projects like Synthetic Constructs and Fructus Loops are playful yet deliberate, inviting viewers to pause, reconsider, and reimagine the world they think they know.

Whether building ephemeral sculptures or crafting surreal tableaus, I approach each piece with a sense of spontaneity and precision. My goal is to challenge assumptions—about value, form, and material—and to offer a lens through which the discarded becomes meaningful.
